To schedule an appointment:
- Please select the correct shipping line and the applicable invoice shown below for upfront payment to be made (STANDARD SAMSA, or Cruise Liner Specific : FOOD HANDLER or NON-FOOD HANDLER)
- For any other shipping line medicals not listed below, please send through any forms to SAMSA@TravelDocCorp.com that need to be completed in order that we may review and quote accordingly, as various shipping lines have a specific set of forms and tests that need to be completed, over and above a standard SAMSA medical.
- Please send through proof of payment to SAMSA@TravelDocCorp.com, together with your name and contact telephone number in order that an appointment may be scheduled.
- Once upfront payment has been received, an appointment will be arranged and confirmed accordingly – noting there is approximately a 2 week wait time period – appointments will only be booked and secured, once payment has been received.
- Once the appointment has been confirmed, a laboratory form will be sent through to you in order that the necessary blood work can be done at the closest Lancet Laboratory 1 week prior to the appointment, to ensure all the necessary results have been received in readiness for your appointment.
- Please feedback to the Team on SAMSA@TravelDocCorp.com once you have been for your bloods in order that this can be tracked to ensure everything has in fact been received in readiness for your appointment.
- In the event these laboratory tests have not been done in time, you will not be seen and your appointment will be rescheduled, as these results are required for the medical certificate to be completed.
Please ensure you bring the following to the scheduled appointment:
- Original company specific printed set of forms that need to be completed by the Doctor, noting that certain shipping lines require the original version of these printed in colour – the medical will not be able to continue without these forms.
- Vaccination records – current and any previous records
- Relevant medical records (for any prescription medication, a recent Doctor’s report is required)
- Previous SAMSA medical certificate (where applicable)
- Original Passport
- Spectacles (if used)
Please be prompt for your SAMSA Medical Examination and ensure all necessary documentation is produced on arrival. Late arrival and omitted documentation will impact on your appointment schedule.

These invoices shown below exclude any specialist referral requirements identified during the consultation, other testing, other laboratory tests, which may be required depending on clinical presentation – to be discussed and payable on the day of the consultation. Vaccines / malaria prophylaxis and medical kits are also available – to be discussed and payable on the day of the consultation.
